📍 U.S.-based with regular site travel | $70,000–$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications

About Tutor Intelligence

Tutor Intelligence deploys robotic systems in real production environments — factories and warehouses where uptime, reliability, and performance matter every day. Founded by MIT alumni and backed by leading AI and robotics investors, we operate, maintain, and continuously improve robots in the field.

We're growing fast — from ~80 to 200+ deployed units — and we need talented technicians who want to own their territory.

About the role

As a Field Robotics Technician, you'll be on the front lines of our mission. You'll own the health, performance, and uptime of robotic systems across customer sites across the U.S. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, independence, and professionalism.

This is not a bench job. This is real-world robotics.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on deployed robotic systems

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues

• Travel to customer sites for repairs, upgrades, and inspections

• Serve as a trusted technical partner to customers onsite

• Communicate root cause and resolution clearly and confidently

• Support installations, commissioning, and new deployments

• Maintain accurate service logs and documentation

• Manage spare parts and inventory for your region

• Identify recurring failure patterns and partner with Engineering on fixes

What we're looking for

• 2+ years in robotics, automation, or electromechanical systems

• Hands-on troubleshooting in field or production environments

• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with customers

• Experience with PLCs, sensors, motors, and pneumatics

• Basic networking and control systems familiarity

• Valid driver's license and comfort with frequent travel

• Willingness to travel to U.S. customer sites (typically 2–3 weeks/month, with structured 2–4 day trips so you're home most weekends)

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field

• Experience with robotic cells or automation systems

• Spare parts / inventory management background

• Spanish language skills (strong plus)

Compensation & benefits

• $70,000–$90,000 DOE

• Health, dental, and vision coverage

• Travel expenses fully covered

Why join us

• High ownership — you run your territory

• Direct impact on customer uptime every day

• Fast-growing startup with real traction in production robotics

• Work on cutting-edge systems deployed in live industrial environments
