Maintenance Technician

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician. We are seeking two dedicated individuals to become part of a team of 12, contributing to the smooth operation of our facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems throughout the facility.
• Provide oversight to contractor personnel.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Service and lubricate equipment as required.
• Participate in formal and on-the-job training programs to acquire and broaden both technical and non-technical job skills.
• Engage in cross-training activities.
• Work rotating shift schedules and weekends as assigned.
• Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments.
• Promote a culture of safety and exhibit safety-focused behaviors.

• Proficiency in electrical, troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to perform repair and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with industrial systems, 480-volt systems, diagnostic testing, and motor wiring.
• Capability in multicraft maintenance tasks.
• 2-4 years of industrial experience required; 4-5 years of industrial chemical or maintenance experience preferred.

• Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting air compressors, repairing bearings, repairing drives, installing equipment, lubrication, piping, rigging, welding/cutting, and fabrication.
• Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed.
• Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

Work in a facility with approximately 150 employees, manufacturing petroleum-based pellets for roofing membranes. The environment is non-climate controlled and can be a little dusty. Shifts available are Sunday to Tuesday or Wednesday to Friday, with opportunities to work from 6 AM to 6 PM or 6 PM to 6 AM. Training for night shift roles occurs during day shifts for a couple of weeks. Dress for your day policy is in effect.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tuscumbia, AL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tuscumbia,AL.
