Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist with maintaining equipment and the overall facility. This role involves ensuring the proper functioning of conveyor systems, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, as well as HVAC systems. The technician will be responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks, general remodel and reconstruction tasks, and documenting and tracking maintenance progress.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Perform HVAC troubleshooting, including handling RTUs and pumps.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for general facilities and equipment.
  • Carry out general remodel and reconstruction tasks, such as fixing doors, painting walls, and performing light plumbing.
  • Document and track maintenance tasks and progress.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and pumps.
  • Skillful in plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
  • Proficiency with power and hand tools.
  • Preferred experience with equipment such as Drop Packers, Top Sealers, Palletizers, Case Erectors, and Blow Molding machines.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics (cylinders, valves, solenoids, etc.).
  • Understanding of hydraulics (cylinders, valves, solenoids, etc.).
  • Electrical knowledge including multimeters, 24v to 480v 3-phase power, electric motors, VFDs, etc.
  • Experience with automation systems (photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, etc.).
  • Familiarity with various pumps (diaphragm, centrifugal, and displacement).
  • Mechanical skills including motor alignment, bearing replacement, and reading mechanical blueprints.

Work Environment

The position operates in a manufacturing environment with production equipment and machinery. It offers two shifts: 1st shift from Monday to Friday (9AM-5:30PM or 10AM-6:30PM), and 2nd shift from Monday to Friday (4:00PM-12:30AM), with a start time of 2PM during busy seasons.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
