Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Industrial / Facilities Maintenance Technician to support daily operations through preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and general facility upkeep. This role is heavily focused on preventative maintenance, inspections, and checklists, with limited electrical work that can range from basic tasks up to high voltage depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service production equipment including coaters, slitters, rewind machines, and related systems.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance using weekly, monthly, and quarterly checklists.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery and facility equipment.
  • Support gravure water-based coating processes, web transport systems, and drying of webs.
  • Perform general facilities maintenance including replacing bulbs, checking outlets, and minor building repairs.
  • Inspect equipment and systems to identify potential issues before failure occurs.
  • Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe maintenance practices.
  • Check and maintain forklift battery water levels on a weekly basis.
  • Document completed preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Coordinate with and call in outside vendors when repairs cannot be completed in-house.
  • Support overall plant safety, cleanliness, and equipment reliability.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial and/or facilities maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and industrial maintenance.
  • Strong preventative maintenance (PM) experience
  • Working knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Experience working with web-based manufacturing equipment such as gravure coating lines, slitters, rewinders, and web transport systems.
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and standard safety practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively and escalate issues when needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Strong preventative maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of fluid pumps and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and follow all safety procedures and standards when working on electrical and energized systems.

Work Environment

This position is for the 1st shift, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The dress code is casual, with shorts being appropriate and steel-toed shoes required. The culture values punctuality highly, with a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middleton, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
