Maintenance Technician

Our client, manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate will have problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: McHenry, IL

Shift: Night Shift (10:45pm-7:15am, Monday-Thursday)

What's the Job?

• Complete maintenance assignments to build, repair, and maintain equipment in optimal condition
• Troubleshoot mechanical devices in operation and perform repairs or replacements as needed
• Set up and operate shop machinery such as lathe, drill press, grinders, band saws, cutting torch, welder
• Install, repair, or modify hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to improve reliability and uptime
• Research and procure parts and tools, maintain accurate inventory, and update maintenance logs and documentation

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or PLC troubleshooting and repair
• Ability to operate shop machinery and use hand and pneumatic tools effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to equipment maintenance
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly and more than 250 pounds occasionally
• Willingness to follow safety, health, and environmental guidelines and use required safety equipment
