Schedule: 2nd Shift (M-F, 3:00pm-11:00pm)

Pay: Up to $34/hr + $0.75/hr Shift Differential for 2nd Shift

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by providing multi-craft maintenance services focused on equipment reliability, uptime, and safety. This role ensures sustainable operation of production machinery through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. The Maintenance Technician II also plays a key role in continuous improvement initiatives, equipment optimization, and mentoring junior technicians.


Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions using logical and systematic methodologies
  • Install, repair, align, and adjust mechanical drive systems to meet operational specifications
  • Perform preventive maintenance, major service, and equipment overhauls on production machinery
  • Replace failed parts or components and restore equipment to safe operating condition
  • Maintain machinery lubrication systems and requirements
  • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters
  • Install, inspect, repair, or replace electrical wiring, conduits, fixtures, receptacles, and related components


Preventive Maintenance & Reliability

  • Complete all assigned preventive maintenance tasks on motors, conveyors, and manufacturing equipment
  • Recommend process or procedural improvements based on observed equipment performance and reliability trends
  • Maintain accurate and current maintenance records in CMMS to support historical tracking and future maintenance planning


Continuous Improvement & Process Support

  • Participate in problem-solving and process improvement teams
  • Support reliability and maintainability initiatives across manufacturing operations
  • Maintain a continuous learning mindset to stay current with equipment, tools, and maintenance practices


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-year Technical Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience or equivalent skill demonstration
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Proficient with standard shop equipment and portable power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, OEM manuals, and precision measuring devices
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, CMMS)
  • Successful completion of required certification testing
