Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing Equipment)
Location: Houston, TX 77073
Pay Range: $22 – $25 per hour
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine and complex maintenance on production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and executing preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Maintain and repair equipment including:
- CNC Mills & Lathes (manual and automated)
- Injection molding machines
- Steam boilers and autoclaves
- Spray systems and sandblasters
- Forklifts (up to 12,000 lb capacity)
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per established schedules
- Diagnose equipment issues by inspecting components and consulting with team members
- Complete emergency repairs to minimize production downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and documentation
- Coordinate and request materials and parts for maintenance projects
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, electrical, and hydraulic schematics
- Safely operate and maintain tools, including power tools and pipe threading equipment
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols
- Support team-based environment and assist with additional maintenance needs as required
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- First Grade Stationary Engineer License (City of Houston) required
Experience:
- 2–5 years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience repairing CNC and manual machines
- Experience with sandblasting equipment preferred
- Strong understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
