Work with Division Supervisors to assure that all facilities and equipment are in proper operating condition.
Manufacture various PreCast forms and machinery as required.
Compile supply order needs; order replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
Perform grounds keeping duties as needed at the plant.
Operate arc welder, cutting torch, band saw, and other equipment as needed.
Develop and implement a program of preventative maintenance for all equipment.
Work with the Production and Maintenance Manager to improve the process capability of all equipment.
Perform a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to doors:
Primary Duties:
Installs, start-up and shutdown equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and in line with OSHA requirements.
Assist other maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting, perform preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate records.
Participates in the planning, installation, modification, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, production equipment, facilities and related electronic controls and devices.
Maintain all plant production equipment, emergency lighting, fire protection and plant facilities.
Perform all planned preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.
Assist production during product change over.
Complete all maintenance work order and project assignments.
Assist outside contractor during project work.
Fill out and complete all paperwork related to maintenance projects or work orders.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
2-3 years training in maintenance in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Structural and facility maintenance experience preferred.
Perform skilled maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment;
Certification in Electrical and Mechanical repairs preferred.
Perform tasks of substantial variety/complexity which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment
Electrical wiring and mechanical skills
Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety and Environmental skills
Strong technical problem-solving skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instruction verbal and written - good math, language and reading skills required
Good communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate with employees of all levels
Forklift experience is a plus
Valid drivers’ license
Physical Work Conditions:
Work indoors and outdoors in areas of heat or cold, ground level or at heights
Exposure to elevation changes
Exposure to confined spaces
Exposure to noise within tolerance levels
Exposure to dust within the acceptable by OSHA levels
Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and Team lift when over 50 pounds
