Job Title: Water and Sewer Laborer

Job Description

The Water and Sewer Laborer will assist in the day-to-day operation of water and sewer systems, supporting the Chief Operator and Assistant Operator. This role involves monitoring systems and traveling between sites to conduct preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Read meters during each billing period.
• Install and repair meters as needed.
• Perform physical labor such as climbing ladders, digging ditches, and mowing grass.
• Complete repairs and maintenance jobs within the water and sewer departments.
• Assist with water and sewer connections, address leaks, backups, or other issues under the direction of the Chief Operator or Assistant Operator.
• Operate the sludge belt press and assist in sludge disposal.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience in facilities maintenance.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in construction and maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Work Environment

Work primarily outdoors, traveling to various sites using a personal vehicle. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Duncansville, PA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Duncansville,PA.
