DIRECT HIRE POSITION
Mon-Fri (2nd shift 5PM-3AM), $32-$35 per hour, they offer benefits and 401k.
The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician's role is to support the reliability and performance of recycling and processing equipment. This role is responsible for performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive maintenance on shredders, grinders, conveyors, balers, extrusion systems, and related processing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, pumps, and motors
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, VFDs, PLC-controlled systems, and control panels
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Perform welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, Stick) as needed
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, and compressors
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Technical or Trade School certification preferred
- 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, plastics, recycling, or related industry
Technical Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Experience with VFDs and motor controls
