Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a corrugated plant. This role involves industrial maintenance on corrugated machinery with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems. The technician will work primarily on conveyor systems, motors, gear boxes, drives, and relays, and will troubleshoot PLCs up to 480v.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules on a daily basis.
• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance of equipment during service times.
• Troubleshoot corrugated equipment and finishing machines.
• Conduct stationary, repetitive tasks including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Handle hydraulics, pneumatic systems, low voltage applications, and mechanical work on all shop equipment and machines.
• Perform facilities maintenance as needed, including lighting and plumbing.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical and electrical experience at a 75/25 ratio.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of machinery electrical drive systems.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Boiler/steam work is a plus but not required.
• Welding skills.
• Must know motor logic.
• High school diploma.

Work Environment

The plant operates on shifts, including 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am). Candidates must be open to working Saturdays and can expect 10-20 hours of overtime. The facility is non-climate controlled and non-union, with around 80 personnel including office staff.

This is a Permanent position based out of Aurora, IL.

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $61650.00/yr.
