Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will perform both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on industrial production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses heavily on hydraulics, pneumatics, and 480-volt 3-phase electrical systems, while also requiring the ability to read blueprints and schematics and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair on production equipment, with a focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems (approximately 60% of the role).
- Carry out electrical troubleshooting and repair on industrial equipment, including 480-volt 3-phase power systems (approximately 40% of the role).
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment, including identifying faults within programmable logic controllers and related components.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
- Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement effective, long-term corrective actions.
- Work closely with a tight-knit maintenance team to respond quickly to breakdowns and production issues with a strong sense of urgency.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting and implementing equipment and process improvements.
- Ensure all work complies with safety procedures, electrical standards, and plant policies.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately for future reference and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed to support production demands.
- Lift, move, and work with heavy components and tools in a machining environment.
Essential Skills
- At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar heavy industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, particularly with hydraulic systems.
- Proven experience working with pneumatic systems in an industrial setting.
- Hands-on experience with 480-volt 3-phase electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated experience with PLC troubleshooting and repair of programmable logic controller-based equipment.
- Solid understanding of industrial safety practices and procedures when working with high-voltage and heavy machinery.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong teamwork mindset with a “get the job done” attitude and willingness to support team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Journeyman license, journeyman card, or journeyman certification in an industrial maintenance or related trade.
- Experience troubleshooting PLC systems from major platforms such as Siemens and similar technologies.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance documentation.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and equipment in a modern, continuously expanding facility.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $83200.00/yr.
Direct hire, with benefits offered. Any hours worked over 56 hours in given week = Double Time
