Are you a Maintenance Supervisor professional eager to advance your career?  Emerson, a top-tier organization, presents an outstanding opening for a Maintenance Supervisor on 1st shift!  This role at Emerson’s Appleton Foundry in South Milwaukee, WI location, offers a fantastic chance to improve and oversee our 1st shift Maintenance operations, personnel and safety of the department.  You will coordinate activities and oversee your team who are responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing of facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.   In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Maintain and enforce safety programs to ensure a safe environment for all employees.
  • Supervise a maintenance team in their daily tasks, that include electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and facility repairs.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to comply with environmental requirements.
  • Develop maintenance personnel encouraging a team environment.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a Preventative Maintenance and Part Inventory program.
  • Evaluate equipment and determine what repairs are needed to improve machine uptime.

 For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 5+ years working in a green sand iron foundry.
  • 3+ years as a supervisor in a maintenance environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Ability to spend majority of the day on the floor walking/standing
  • Ability to work weekends to support production, work on projects or PM’s. 

 Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience with Inductotherm Induction furnaces, Isocure core process and equipment, DISA molding equipment, Surface Combustion annealing ovens, and sand delivery systems

     

  • Experience in working with a multitude of contractors for various projects and tracking project timelines.

     

  • Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime
