The Maintenance Supervisor leads a highly electrical, hands-on maintenance team responsible for diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role oversees day-to-day maintenance activities, guides technicians, and ensures equipment reliability by performing and directing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work while following a structured preventive maintenance schedule.
Responsibilities
You will join a stable, growth-oriented company operating in a resilient and expanding industry. The organization continues to invest in its future by acquiring additional facilities and building new, state-of-the-art plants with modern equipment. You will work alongside an experienced maintenance team whose members average many years of tenure, providing a strong environment for learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development. The culture emphasizes close collaboration, reliability, and long-term employment, offering the opportunity to grow your skills in a technically challenging and evolving manufacturing setting.
Work Environment
The facility processes recycled raw materials into finished plastic pellets and chips in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting. The existing and new facilities are not climate controlled, so temperatures will vary with the seasons and conditions can be warm, noisy, and physically demanding. You will work around large industrial machinery, electrical equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and you will regularly use tools such as multimeters and other diagnostic devices. The environment is typical of plastics and similar manufacturing operations, and candidates with experience in comparable non-climate-controlled plants, such as poultry or other plastics facilities, tend to adapt well. The role follows a 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule, with initial training on a Monday–Friday day shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a designated maintenance day). The company is transitioning to a rotation of approximately four months on days and four months on nights, so flexibility to work any shift is important. Dress and personal protective equipment should be suitable for an industrial manufacturing environment, with appropriate safety gear provided or required in accordance with site policies.
