This position is a senior technician position responsible for the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and related equipment of a PCC Campus and/or designated area such as grounds.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, coils, air handlers, and exhaust fans.
Knowledge of chillers, boilers, and pumps & motors.
Knowledge of Building automated systems.
Responsible for clean building exteriors and grounds.
Responsible for addressing electronic Maintenance Requests in a timely manner.
Prepares set-ups for special activities.
Installs/repairs toilets and sinks when needed.
Install lights when needed.
Maintains and services maintenance equipment.
Manage and procure maintenance supplies needed for their area of responsibility.
Meets with contractors as needed.
Basic skills include e-mail, web-based training, online forms and requests as required.
Additional Duties
Position may be required to open campus for daily operation, that may require work schedule flexibility. Availability for after-hours support, including evenings and weekends , may be required on occasion.
Performs other duties as assigned by Director, Facility Services
Education and Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Five (5) years of maintenance or trade experience
Licenses and Certificates: Valid state driver's license. Forklift operator certification required or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of maintenance (intermediate / advanced plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
Ability to use tools and equipment necessary for the job.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Physical Demands This job requires continuous talking or hearing, frequently standing, frequently walking, frequently reaching with hands and arms, frequently gripping, or feeling with hands, typing/repetitive movement, occasionally climbing or balancing, occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, occasionally sitting. Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to indoor environment, outdoor environment, noise, extreme temperatures, vibration, moisture and/or humidity, dust, fumes, gases, electrical hazards, mechanical hazards, burn hazards, sharp objects/tools.
