  • Develop detailed job plans in SAP, including:
  • Creating, maintaining, and tracking work orders and tasks
  • Adding supporting documentation, step-by-step procedures, and reference photos
  • Identifying, specifying, and ordering all required parts, tools, and materials
  • Build and release complete, well-documented job packages to the Scheduling Team once all materials are available.
  • Participate in bi-weekly backlog meetings with Operations to align maintenance activities, review upcoming priorities, and ensure focus on work due in the next 2–3 months.
  • Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Activity Coordinator (MAC) on pit stops, shutdowns, and targeted maintenance events.
  • Support the tracking of key planning KPIs and ensure alignment with plant reliability goals and schedules.

Top Required Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP (job creation, job planning, materials procurement)
  • Proven background in chemical or oil manufacturing.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude, including practical knowledge of pumps, piping, vessels, and rotating/fixed equipment.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Regular fieldwork: walking, climbing stairs/ladders, working outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Must be comfortable navigating and working within an active chemical plant environment
  • Onsite transportation via golf cart provided
  • No TWIC card required

  • Standard site-issued PPE:
  • Fire-resistant (FR) clothing (provided by the site)
  • Hard hat
  • Hearing protection
  • Steel-toed boots (candidate provides their own)
  • Harness training not typically required; occasional elevated work evaluations may be necessary, with drone inspection alternatives available.

Soft Skills & Collaboration

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to proactively coordinate with:
  • Operations Focal Points for work alignment and priority setting
  • Maintenance Activity Coordinator (MAC) for event planning
  • Peer planners and technical experts during walkdowns and job reviews
