Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

This position requires a Maintenance Mechanic to support the department's mission by performing installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role involves working under minimal supervision, either independently or as part of a team, to ensure the safety and functionality of production operations and facility systems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair all assigned department equipment under minimal supervision.
  • Identify, implement, and exercise independent judgment within established guidelines for preventative maintenance and determining necessary actions during shift issues affecting production operations or facility safety.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot furnace operations using Siemens PLC.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience or equivalent technical training in maintenance of pneumatic, electrical, vacuum, or mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing semi or fully automated equipment.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral communication.
  • Ability to observe, analyze, interpret situations, and solve mechanical and electrical equipment problems.
  • Experience with Siemens PLC hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Proficient use of a digital multimeter (DMM) for troubleshooting.
  • Capability to prioritize changing tasks and duties.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the workplace.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical training or coursework in industrial equipment engineering and troubleshooting through technical school or trade experience is highly desired.
  • Equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge may substitute for up to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment in a technical role.
  • Level III candidates should have 7+ years of advancing positions in technical experience as a mechanic or electrics/controls/electronics/automation technician.

Work Environment

The work takes place in an industrial manufacturing plant setting. Swing Shift Training schedule is Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The permanent schedule will be Graveyard from 7:30 pm to 4:00 am, Monday to Friday (the last shift ends Saturday morning). The facility utilizes state-of-the-art metal injection molding (MIM) technology to create high-performing small precision metal components.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WILSONVILLE, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
