Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all electrical repairs and maintenance of process and building equipment, including pumps, temperature controllers, and mechanical equipment. The role involves assisting in the completion, implementation, and management of the Preventative Maintenance Program and performing preventative maintenance on all machines and building equipment. The mechanic will test and repair issues on high and low voltage electrical and electronic circuits and systems, read, interpret, modify, and implement technical information from manufacturer’s technical manuals, electrical drawings and blueprints, P&IDs, and operating and maintenance procedures. Compliance with all company health, safety, and environmental procedures and policies is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on process and building equipment.
• Assist in the implementation and management of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all machines and building equipment.
• Test and repair high and low voltage electrical and electronic circuits and systems.
• Read, interpret, and implement technical information from manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

• Proficiency in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and blueprint reading.
• Experience in PLC troubleshooting, industrial welding, mechanical HVAC, plumbing, and fabrication.
• Expertise in electrical systems, including 3 phase motors, relays, PLC troubleshooting, repair, and HVAC.

• Extensive knowledge of power systems, motors, switch gears, electrical panels, lighting systems, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong electrical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with power tools and equipment.
• Knowledge and experience in motor control.
• Flexibility with work hours, including off-shift and weekends as needed.

Work Environment

The position involves working across six different buildings. The mechanic must have their own tools, with a secure area provided for tool storage.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Newport Beach,CA.
