Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to oversee preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including pumps, valves, conveyors, and bearings. Additionally, the role involves maintenance of buildings, facilities, and grounds, encompassing tasks such as lawn mowing, snow removal, duct work and ventilation repairs, welding, fabrication, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance on various equipment and perform necessary repairs.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties; make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Perform skilled operations such as fitting and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts.
• Assist with the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, machinery, and systems.
• Install, repair, rebuild, maintain, and relocate existing machines and equipment.
• Maintain logs and files for all maintenance activities.
• Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
• Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.

• 2+ years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic.
• Proficiency in mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
• Skilled in fitting and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and carpentry work.

• Experience with duct work and ventilation repairs.
• Knowledge of maintaining electrical equipment, machinery, and systems.

Work Environment

Work in a chemical manufacturing setting. The attire includes jeans and steel-toed shoes. The work hours are structured into two shifts: 1st shift runs from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and 2nd shift runs from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muskego, WI.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
