Maintenance Mechanic

Description

This candidate will be primarily welding and performing sanitary welding as well as fabricating. When they are not welding, they will help with maintenance duties. The Industrial Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production equipment in a yeast manufacturing environment, including fermentation vessels, utilities (steam, air, water), rotating equipment, and downstream separation/packaging assets. This role supports safe, efficient, and compliant operations under GMP and food‑safety standards, minimizing downtime and ensuring product quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

-Welding, Mig, Tig, Stick as well as sanitary welding experience

-Basic electrical troubleshooting (24VDC sensors, proxes, solenoids, VFD parameter checks).

-Boiler Operator experience or license; knowledge of steam traps and condensate return.

-Ammonia refrigeration exposure (RETA I/II) or chilled‑water systems; awareness of PSM.

-Welding/fabrication (TIG for stainless, sanitary welds) and/or basic machining.

-Certifications: OSHA‑10/30, Confined Space, Aerial Lift, Forklift, LOTO, First Aid/CPR

This is a Permanent position based out of MEMPHIS, TN.

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
