About the Role

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operations across our industrial facility. This position focuses on preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of complex equipment and systems. Ideal candidates bring strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and experience working in fast-paced industrial environments.

You’ll work daily with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components, using precision tools, welding equipment, and maintenance technology to keep production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment throughout the facility.
  • Inspect, repair, adjust, and replace mechanical components to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, including PLC-related equipment problems.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and operating manuals.
  • Perform welding tasks for repair, fabrication, or equipment modification.
  • Work with bearings, gearboxes, lubrication systems, pumps, and piping systems.
  • Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and precision maintenance tools daily.
  • Operate forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts in accordance with site safety procedures.
  • Follow established preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Accurately document work performed, findings, and equipment conditions using maintenance management software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional maintenance trades and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety by following all policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Promote a positive, teamwork-focused environment through communication, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Hands-on experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools (grinders, saws, drill presses, hydraulic pullers, etc.)
  • Welding experience for repair and fabrication
  • Working knowledge of precision alignment techniques
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting in an industrial setting
  • Experience with gearbox, bearing, and lubrication maintenance
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Experience using maintenance computer systems for documentation
  • Solid math skills applicable to mechanical maintenance tasks
  • High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field
  • Experience operating mobile equipment (forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, aerial lifts)
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance technology tools
  • Ability to modify or build equipment based on technical drawings
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Experience working in a continuous improvement culture

Work Environment

This is an onsite industrial role within a production facility. The position involves working around heavy machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, pumps, piping, and fabrication areas. You’ll regularly use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision maintenance tools. Appropriate PPE and adherence to all safety procedures are required.

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday | 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

(No weekend shifts)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00/hr.
