$120,000–$135,000 base salary plus bonus

Summary:


Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead all plant maintenance operations and collaborate cross-functionally to reduce unplanned downtime and drive continuous improvement. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient, safe, and high-performing production within a complex food manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, organize, and oversee the day-to-day activities of a maintenance team across multiple shifts
  • Develop team capabilities through ongoing training, coaching, and performance management
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture with the goal of zero workplace injuries
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, cost control, and team development
  • Ensure full utilization and compliance with corporate asset maintenance management systems
  • Oversee execution of maintenance work orders to meet high standards of safety, food quality, engineering integrity, and environmental compliance
  • Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
  • Leverage predictive maintenance tools to proactively plan and minimize operational disruptions
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Food Safety, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Manage maintenance budgets and control repair and maintenance costs in alignment with annual operating plans
  • Ensure equipment reliability and compliance with all regulatory and operational requirements


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • At least 5 years of maintenance leadership experience within a food and beverage manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of food processing equipment and maintenance best practices
  • Working knowledge of food safety standards, including SQF requirements
  • Experience managing ammonia refrigeration systems and compliance programs such as CalARP and RMP
  • Familiarity with HazMat, SPCC, and environmental regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of plant automation and PLC systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically
  • Effective communicator with a service-oriented leadership approach
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and operational cost drivers
  • Flexibility to work any shift as needed
