Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Type of Role: Direct hire
Shift: 8am-5pm, M-F (with some weekends, as needed)
Salary: Up to 90K base
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a results-driven Maintenance Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX to support equipment reliability and maintenance strategy within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing preventive maintenance programs, supporting new equipment installation and commissioning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve overall equipment performance. The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and performance
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities
• Analyze downtime trends and recurring equipment failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime and increasing efficiency
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues within manufacturing equipment
• Coordinate with operations, quality, and external vendors to support maintenance and reliability goals
• Ensure maintenance systems and documentation remain audit-ready and compliant with standards
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reliability
• Support maintenance teams with technical guidance and problem-solving
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or equipment reliability
• Strong experience with preventive maintenance systems and reliability engineering
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends related to equipment performance and downtime
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Authorization to work in the United States required
Additional Qualifications
• Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance tracking tools
• Background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Experience supporting equipment commissioning and startup projects
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
• Experience working with external vendors and contractors
