  • Ownership of a personal set of mechanic tools suitable for industrial maintenance work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in electro-mechanical maintenance, combining electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience training machine operators on daily maintenance and basic troubleshooting procedures.
  • Comfort interfacing with equipment manufacturers and technical support teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose root causes of equipment failures.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with maintenance teammates and production staff across shifts.
  • Adaptability to handle both planned maintenance and urgent breakdown repairs in a fast-paced environment.

Why Work Here?

You will join a stable heavy manufacturing operation that actively invests in internal growth and advancement. Several current supervisors are approaching retirement, creating clear opportunities for promotion based on skills and knowledge rather than tenure. The organization offers an affordable PPO healthcare plan, dental and vision coverage, 11 paid holidays, and a structured paid time off program with 1 week of PTO at 6 months and 2 weeks at 1 year. A 401(k) matching program supports long-term financial security, and the culture values hands-on expertise, teamwork, and recognition for technical contributions.

Work Environment

This role is based in a 100,000-square-foot foundry environment focused on heavy manufacturing, where conditions can be hot and dirty and require comfort working around molten metal, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery. You will work as part of a maintenance team on each shift that typically includes a lead, one electro-mechanical technician, one electrician, and one preventative maintenance technician. Shifts include a second shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and a third shift (Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.). Weekend overtime is offered on a voluntary basis first and, if necessary, covered through a weekend rotation. The environment is hands-on, tool- and equipment-intensive, with regular use of electrical test equipment, welding and fabrication tools, and standard mechanic tools.
