Maintenance Technician in Gallatin, TN
Pay Rate: Minimum $34.00/hour
Schedule: 5 days per week | 8-hour shifts
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to partner with Maintenance and Production leadership to ensure the reliability and performance of plant equipment. This role performs a mix of mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance to support safe, efficient production operations.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on conveyors, packaging equipment, production equipment, electrical control systems, and related plant systems
- Operate, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment (mechanical and electrical)
- Troubleshoot and repair three-phase electrical components and control voltage issues
- Perform stick or TIG welding for small equipment repairs to minimize downtime until permanent repairs are completed
- Lead maintenance projects, including new equipment installations and rebuilds
- Fabricate or modify equipment support components and perform millwright activities
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, ammonia systems, boilers, and wastewater systems
- Prepare unscheduled work orders to support production requirements
- Utilize SAP and other Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for data entry and documentation
- Record and document procedural changes, ensuring equipment documentation is current and accurate
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with three-phase power, controls, and industrial equipment
- Welding experience (stick and/or TIG)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with maintenance and production teams
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
