CNC Machinist - 1st and 2nd shift available– Join a Growing Precision Manufacturing Team

What You’ll Do

As a CNC Machinist, you’ll play a key role in producing precision components. Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Setting up CNC machines: vertical mills, horizontal mills, and lathes
  • Performing in‑process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, drop gauges, and indicators
  • Operating equipment following process sheets, drawings, and specifications
  • Editing, retrieving, and managing CNC programs from system files
  • Inspecting completed work and processing non‑conforming materials when required
  • Troubleshooting machine and tooling issues to maintain part quality

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in CNC setup and operation
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Mazak machines, mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines
  • Ability to work with CNC programs and verify part processes
Preferred (Not Required)
  • Ability to calculate requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Experience proving out part programs

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $40.00/hr.
