We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, and operating conventional, special purpose machines, to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts, assemble special product to specific specs per prints or work instructions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where craftsmanship and technical expertise are highly valued.

Requirements

• Reads blueprints, sketches, or sample parts to determine tolerances to finish work pieces the sequence of operation and the set-up requirements.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for machining.
• Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Calculates and sets manual machine controls to regulate speeds, feeds, coolant flow and depths of cuts.
• Starts and observes machine operation to determine if parts are within tolerance and if not makes proper adjustments.
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
• Fits and assembles parts into complete assemblies when needed.
• Develops specifications from general descriptions and drawing or product to be fabricated.

Your Contributions

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 to 3 years of work experience
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
