Machinist

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and industrial services, is seeking a Machinist I to join their team. As a Machinist I, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist I

Location: Clare, MI

Pay Range: Based on experience

Shift: 6 am - 4 pm, Monday through Thursday

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate machine equipment including CNC, milling, boring, drilling, tapping, threading, and lathes.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists to support manufacturing processes.
• Utilize JD Edwards, work order routings/parts lists, and paperwork to complete jobs accurately.
• Read, interpret, and utilize blueprints to ensure precise machining.
• Perform quality checks, deburr parts, and verify work using machinist measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.

What's Needed?

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school or college, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
• Proficiency in machine setup and operation, including CNC programming and control adjustments.
• Knowledge of milling, boring, drilling, tapping, threading, and lathe operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness in the work environment.
