Job Title: CNC Machinist (2nd and 3rd Shift)Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our team on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. This role involves working with advanced machinery and technology in a dynamic environment, producing high-quality components for various industries including automotive, aerospace, and energy.

Responsibilities
  • Set up machines using methods involving edge finders and indicators.
  • Qualify first piece production through inspections, fine-tune and operate machines to perform accurate operations on projects with close tolerances and high-resolution aesthetics.
  • Work with a variety of equipment such as 3 Axis / Fadal, Okuma, Makino, and Mazak Mills, as well as 5 Axis / Hurco and Mikron.
  • Operate and monitor multiple machines simultaneously, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Troubleshoot machine programming issues and follow safety procedures and regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, management, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, performing PMP duties as required.
Essential Skills
  • Mastercam/CAD/CAM knowledge.
  • Proficiency in 3 and 5 axis CNC machining.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work orders, collect data, and fill inspection sheets.
  • Experience with CNC equipment and the ability to set up machines with correct attachments and parts.
  • Familiarity with CMM, calipers, micrometers, depth mics, and gage pins.
  • Understanding of G and M Codes, GD&T, and the decimal system.
  • Strong attention to detail and good listening skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 3-10 years of CNC machining experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, set up machines, and inspect parts.
  • High School Diploma required; Trade School completion preferred.
  • 5 years of machinist experience, preferably in aerospace and defense.
  • Familiarity with the equipment used in our facilities.

Work Environment

Our facility operates on a 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm and a 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am. We are a large production shop employing over 160 machinists and engineers. The work environment encourages teamwork and offers overtime opportunities on a voluntary basis. Dress code and safety regulations are strictly followed to ensure a safe and professional workspace.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $58240.00/yr.
