Machine Operator

Overview
Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Secure split jambs with staple gun as needed
  • Set jambs/door on machine via loader
  • Machine unit with router; set hinges and attach using screw gun
  • Identify defects and make repairs using provided tools
  • Determine what can and cannot be repaired
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Knowledge of hand tools and small power tools
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of pneumatic equipment (stapler machine), tape measure, and wood types
  • Ability to read tape measure to 1/32", angle finder, and square
  • High quality standards required; some creativity needed
  • Maintain operation and cleanliness of all equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; frequent bending, twisting, and stooping
  • Strong eye/hand coordination
  • Ability to work at a fast, physically demanding pace
  • Stand for long, continuous hours
  • Constant attention to detail and material placement accuracy
  • Ensure proper lifting techniques and keep floors free of debris
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to avoid production disruptions
  • Follow all operational and safety SOPs as written
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Prior door manufacturing or wood working experience preferred
