Machine Operator

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to operate compression mold machines producing rubber or plastic rings and seals for the oil and gas industry. The role involves measuring materials to ensure proper consistency, setting up machines, and operating hydraulic presses to mold rubber preforms into seals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect first run parts for defects and make necessary adjustments prior to production.
• Turn, stack, and straighten preforms and parts while they are in the press.
• Load press platens uniformly with molds of equal height.
• Handle molds with care to prevent denting or galling of critical machined surfaces; report any damage to molds or machines.
• Verify that preforms fit molds properly and report discrepancies to the Crew Lead.
• Ensure proper engagement of molds when the press closes and pressure is applied, especially when molds are stacked.

• At least 2+ years of experience in press operating in a machine shop.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Experience in production/manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with general labor and production tasks.
• Skilled in using hand tools.

Work Environment

The position operates in a shop environment with a 1st shift schedule from 6 AM to 3 PM. Safety gear, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses, is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Humble, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.80 - $18.80/hr.
