Job Purpose: The Machine Operator role is responsible for working with machinery from setup to operation. Machine Operators work with manual and/or CNC equipment to make sure they are set up properly, working efficiently, and producing quality product. - 1st shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm - 3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 7:30am - Will need to train on 1st shift - Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30pm Essential Functions: - Use of surface grinders, Bridgeport type mills, OD/ID grinders, Wire Band Saws and Rotary Grinders for manual machine operations. - Maintain quality and quantity with strong sense of accountability and standards. - Complete all relevant documentation while maintaining product traceability throughout the process. - Clean and maintain equipment and work area, (6S Principals). - Perform mechanical and visual inspection of ceramics using various inspection equipment. - Perform safety checks on every machine where certified to operate. - Ensure that machines are producing quality products by performing periodic checks on output. - Carry out basic regular and preventative maintenance procedures. - Read product drawings and methods to visualize machining/grinding to be done and planned sequence of operation. - Must be flexible with cross-training in other departments. - Perform various tasks and all other duties as required/assigned by Production Supervisor. - Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and with Morgan Hudson NH, EHS Guidelines. Guidelines include but not limited to participation in required EHS training and use of proper PPE. Employees are responsible for operating in a safe and ethical manner as well as report any unsafe or hazardous conditions and job-related injuries or illnesses to their Production Supervisor in a timely manner.
