A leading international law firm is seeking a talented mid-level associate to join its Corporate / M&A practice in Chicago. The team advises strategic companies, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, founders, and investors on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions.
The role offers significant responsibility and direct client exposure across complex public and private M&A matters, including acquisitions, disposals, carve-outs, joint ventures, growth investments, and sponsor-backed transactions.
Representative Experience
- Public and private company acquisitions and divestitures
- Private equity platform and add-on acquisitions
- Cross-border strategic transactions
- Healthcare, industrials, software, infrastructure, and energy-related transactions
- Transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution across the deal lifecycle
Candidate Requirements
- 4–6 years’ experience from a leading corporate / M&A practice
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience managing transaction documents and coordinating diligence and closing processes
- Familiarity with private equity and strategic M&A transactions
- Admission to the Illinois Bar (or eligibility to waive in) preferred
- Excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
