Low Voltage Technician

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and maintain low voltage systems across commercial and/or industrial projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, troubleshooting, and working in the field as part of a collaborative team.

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including data, voice, security, access control, and surveillance
• Run, label, and dress CAT5e/CAT6, fiber, and other low voltage cabling per project specifications and industry standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
• Install and mount devices such as cameras, card readers, access panels, switches, and network racks
• Test systems for functionality and compliance and perform necessary adjustments
• Document work completed and communicate project progress with supervisors and project managers
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow safety protocols and company installation standards at all times

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic understanding of low voltage systems and cabling practices
• Ability to read basic drawings and installation plans
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts as needed

• Prior experience in low voltage, telecom, security systems, or structured cabling
• Knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6, fiber optics, access control, CCTV, or fire alarm support systems
• Industry certifications (BICSI, OSHA, manufacturer certifications)
• Experience working on commercial or industrial job sites

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauwatosa, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
