About the Role
Our customer, a well-known logistics company, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their team in either Dallas or Chicago. This role is responsible for delivering competitive pricing, exceptional customer service, and efficient operational support for domestic and cross-border surface transportation across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The ideal candidate will act as a key resource for both internal teams and customers, ensuring seamless transportation solutions while supporting pricing, procurement, and day-to-day logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end movement of assigned shipments, including booking cost-effective transportation, tracking shipments, and providing timely status updates
- Ensure accurate and timely shipment closure, rating, and documentation
- Provide competitive pricing and quotes to customers and internal sales teams
- Support cross-border logistics operations between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada
- Assist with new customer projects and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Generate and support weekly and monthly reporting, including month-end billing activities
- Provide backup support to team members during peak periods, vacations, or absences
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet departmental and organizational goals
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in logistics and domestic transportation operations
- Strong knowledge of surface transportation and cross-border logistics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Preferred:
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Familiarity with Excel and Oracle systems
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience using TMS platforms
