A global law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling sophisticated intellectual property matters, with a strong emphasis on trademark litigation and enforcement. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented paralegal comfortable managing cases from pre‑litigation through trial and post‑judgment. This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with offices in San Francisco and Walnut Creek.


Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in complex intellectual property litigation, including trademark infringement, unfair competition, and related commercial disputes
  • Prepare, file, and manage pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts
  • Coordinate and manage discovery, including document collection, review, production, and e‑discovery platforms
  • Draft and organize written discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission)
  • Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation (exhibits, witness binders, trial notebooks)
  • Maintain detailed case timelines, docketing, and calendaring, including court deadlines and filing requirements
  • Support TTAB proceedings, trademark oppositions, cancellations, and enforcement actions (if applicable)
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors in a professional manner
  • Conduct legal and factual research related to IP and trademark matters
  • Assist with post‑trial filings, judgments, and enforcement activities


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of paralegal experience in complex litigation, preferably with IP or trademark law exposure
  • Strong understanding of federal and state court procedures
  • Experience managing high‑volume discovery and complex case files
  • Familiarity with trademark litigation, TTAB proceedings, or IP enforcement strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with litigation and e‑discovery software (e.g., Relativity, Westlaw, Lexis, or similar)
  • Exceptional organizational, time‑management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys and cases
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
