A growing, regional law firm is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal to support the Civil Litigation department. The position is based in the downtown Los Angeles office and offers a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite / 3 days remote) following a 90-day onsite training period.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive litigation support through all phases of litigation, including trial.
- Serve as hot seat paralegal during trials, hearings, and arbitrations.
- Assist with case development, discovery, investigations, and trial preparation.
- Conduct factual and fraud investigations, including review of records and social media research.
- Manage discovery projects, including subpoenas, document review, and deposition preparation.
- Prepare and organize trial exhibits, witness binders, and courtroom materials.
- Maintain electronic case files and manage large volumes of documents using litigation databases.
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, experts, investigators, and witnesses.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, including significant trial and hot seat experience.
- Experience supporting civil litigation matters in California state and federal courts.
- Strong understanding of discovery, investigations, and trial preparation.
- Proficiency with litigation technology such as Relativity, CaseMap, TrialDirector, and NetDocuments.
- Experience with e-filing systems including CM/ECF and One Legal.
- Bachelor’s degree and ABA‑approved Paralegal Certificate required.
- Excellent organization, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The compensation range for this position is $90,000–$130,000 (based on a 37.5-hour workweek). The firm also offers medical, dental, and vision health insurance, 401(k) with partial match, annual discretionary bonuses, 1200 billable hour requirement, and 80 hours of combined sick and vacation time annually.
