Overview: LHH is partnering with a well‑established, multi‑office law firm to identify a Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join its Charlotte, North Carolina office. This role supports attorneys in a sophisticated litigation practice and plays a key role in delivering high‑quality legal services across all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and post‑trial matters.


This opportunity is ideal for an experienced litigation professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, brings strong organizational and proofreading skills, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and team members across multiple offices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial, and post‑trial proceedings
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and electronic filing of pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal courts
  • Provide support with discovery efforts, including document organization, electronic discovery, and trial preparation
  • Manage time entry, billing tasks, and administrative responsibilities within the firm’s billing and case management systems
  • Proofread briefs and non‑filed materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Assist with trial logistics and other litigation‑related projects as needed
  • Perform all legal assistant and paralegal duties under attorney supervision and in compliance with applicable professional standards
  • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting litigation matters in a law firm or legal department
  • Experience with state and/or federal court filings required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple offices
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail with strong proofreading capabilities

  • Compensation: $55,000-80,000
