Litigation Paralegal

Robert Half is partnering with an established and reputable Plaintiff’s Personal Injury law firm in Chicago that is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of personal injury experience and be comfortable supporting attorneys throughout all phases of a case from pre-litigation and claims through discovery and trial.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, medical providers, and related parties.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and maintain daily itineraries.
• Maintain and organize firm databases, case files, and all supporting documentation.
• Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents and correspondence.
• Order, track, and summarize medical records, bills, police reports, and ambulance reports.
• Handle both paper filing and e-filing for Cook County, surrounding counties, and Federal courts.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law, either on the Plaintiff or Defense side.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with discovery processes, civil litigation, and trial preparation.
• Experience with case management software and litigation procedures.
