Litigation Legal Assistant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting on a search for a litigation legal assistant for a highly reputable law firm. This role would support attorneys that mainly practice commercial and business litigation however the firm will consider applicants with other types of litigation support experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation of various legal documents and client correspondence
  • Assist with expense reports, attorney time entry, mailings and other administrative duties
  • Open and close new matters
  • Manage attorneys calendars and assist with scheduling depositions, hearings, meetings, etc.
  • Transcription of dictation
  • Mange case and client files electronically
  • e-Filing with various courts
  • Coordinate conference rooms for meetings and calls
  • Answer phones and direct messages appropriately


Qualifications:

  • Prior law firm experience 2+ years is preferred in as a legal assistant
  • High school degree required; college degree preferred
  • Tech skill and proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Strong typing skills of at least 50+ WPM
  • Prior experience with iManage a plus
  • Prior experience with BigHand a plus
  • Prior experience with electronic court filings is preferred
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and state and federal procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and have high attention to detail and confidentiality
