Litigation Attorney

We are working with an award winning law firm, looking to bring on a Litigation Attorney to join their growing team. This role will require 2x on-site. They need someone with 2+ years of litigation experience.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of litigation experience
• Prior experience practicing in one of the following; healthcare, public health law
• Must have excellent written and oral advocacy skills, plus enjoy working in a team environment where self-starters excel
• Admitted to practice in the State of New York

Responsibilities:

• 1700 billable environment
• Meet with clients to review case strategy
• Prepare pleadings, motions and briefs, and legal research for complex matters in Superior and appellate courts
• Argue motions in Superior Court and oral arguments in appellate courts
• Trial preparation includes review and analysis of all factual and legal issues relating to compensability, valuation, and constitutional matters
• Selection of witnesses and exhibits
• Preparation of written outline for examination of witnesses

The annual salary for this position is between 140k-180k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
