Litigation Attorney

San Francisco based law firm is currently seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Our ideal candidate will have proven litigation experience, preferably in the area of insurance defense or employment law.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of litigation, including discovery, court appearances, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and if necessary, trials.
  2. Draft a variety of legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and others.
  3. Review documentation and identify potential legal risks, providing clear and comprehensive legal opinions to aid in informed decision-making.
  4. Represent clients in court, presenting persuasive and well-structured evidence to defend or prosecute civil litigation cases.
  5. Work in coordination with our team and clients to facilitate optimal case outcomes.
  6. Develop and nurture client relationships while managing client expectations.
  7. Ensure adherence to litigation-related firm policies and compliance with legal guidelines and court rulings.
  8. Comply fully with state and federal rules and regulations, as well as our law firm’s internal policies.

Job Requirements:

  1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
  3. At least 3-10+ years of litigation experience
  4. Demonstrable critical thinking, negotiation, and trial skills.
  5. Excellent oral advocacy and writing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  6. Demonstrated experience managing complex cases.
  7. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
  8. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on networking and collaboration.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal research software, and other pertinent legal databases.
