Litigation and Insurance Defense Attorney

McElroy Deutsch is seeking attorneys with 3+ years of experience handling the preparation and trial of insurance defense litigation in federal and state courts in New York and New Jersey. New York bar admission required, New Jersey bar admission a plus. Portable book of business preferred, but not required. Salary range for this position: $130,000 - $185,000 plus possible bonus. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients on litigation issues;
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and manage discovery;
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions; and
• Engage in courtroom advocacy and motion practice.

Qualifications:

• JD from an ABA accredited law school;
• Admission to the New York bar;
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and
• Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively in a team environment.
