JOB POSTING STEAM Camp Leader POSITION OVERVIEW CuriOdyssey is seeking Camp Leaders to inspire love f or science and curiosity about the world for Camp CuriOdyssey campers this summer. Camp CuriOdyssey is supported by a team of Directors, Leaders, Inclusion Assistant, and Leaders-in-Training, reporBng to the Camps and Youth Programs Manager . Camp CuriOdyssey’s STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art/animals and math) focus is reflected in a robust curriculum developed around the following Camp themes: Gadgets and Gizmos, Art Inventors, Junior Keepers, Nature Quest , Museum Medley, and Ocean Adventure . Camp Leaders, in partnership with and under the guidance of Camp Directors, will deliver our robust curriculum for our TK/Kindergarten to 4th grade campers, support teen volunteer “Leaders in Traini ng” and ensure that the camp environment is engaging, fun, and saf e. Leaders serve as role models for campers, establish a foundaBon of knowledge, model inq uiry, and collaborate with campers, learning together. For the summer of 2026 we are seekin g 12-14 Leader posiBons to support the Camp themes referenced above (descripBons can be fou nd here ). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Camp Leaders work with campers, grades TK through 4, in o ne of CuriOdyssey’s science camp themes including physical and life sciences, engineeri ng, art, and nature-based learning. ● Work closely alongside a Director and another leader, as a facilitator of STEAM camp acBviBes by collaboraBng with campers in meaningful educaBon al experiences, including hands-on interacBons with wildlife, nature, an d answering quesB ons. We will show you how to be prepared for engaging campers in a w ay that supports each camper’s learning abiliB es. ● Monitor the well-being and safety of each camper. ● Support and develop leadership growth for Leaders-in-Tr aining (teen volunteers) by overseeing and assisBng their training acB viBes, providing guidance when needed. ● Provide support to other camp themes, as needed. ● Perform other duBes as assigned by leadership. If 18 years old or older, must complete and clear a background check. ● Required: must currently have or be willing to get a C PR/First Aid CerBfi caBon. Frequently move from a si\ ng to standing posiB on. Traversing uneven surfaces, bending, reaching, si\ng on the floor with children and twisBng are daily repeBBve physical acB ons. COMPENSATION, SCHEDULE & BENEFITS ● Pay Rate: $20.00/hour ● Status:This is a non-exempt seasonal posiB on, full- Bme starB ng June 1, 2026 through August 14, 2026 .
