Job Description

Join our team as a production line operator! This position offers the opportunity to rotate through four stations during your shift, ensuring a varied and dynamic work experience. You will be responsible for handling blades, operating machinery, and ensuring quality control throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through four positions on the production line during the 8-hour shift.
  • Place blades on the conveyor line and manage their journey through the oven or furnace.
  • Use hand tools or grabbers to transfer blades to a press.
  • Cool blades in a quench post-press operation.
  • Hang blades on a line for painting and conduct quality inspections post-painting.
  • Prepare blades for shipment after quality assurance checks.

Essential Skills

  • General labor experience in production or manufacturing.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems.
  • Strong team player attitude.
  • Competence in measuring and attention to detail.
  • Experience in assembly line work and machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts while rotating among stations.
  • Capable of lifting 40-50 pounds.
  • Attention to detail for identifying quality defects.
  • Capability to work in hot conditions near the furnace.

Work Environment

The workplace is clean and well-organized, featuring a production line alongside welding, shipping, receiving, and engineering departments. Be prepared for occasional heat exposure near the furnace. Orientation starts at 6 AM, including a tour, lunch, and training to prepare for your role. Shift options available: 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM), 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM), 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.50/hr.
