The duties of this occupation include but are not limited to the following: Delivery of high-quality care to all patients. Maintaining efficient patient flow and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Support providers in delivering timely, patient-centered care. Perform routine nursing care, including obtaining vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and providing patient education. Ensure smooth clinic operations by preparing rooms, stocking supplies, coordinating patient schedules, and ensuring timely care. Record patient data in electronic health records (EHR) and ensure accurate documentation of care provided. Work closely with providers, administrative staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and facilitate efficient communication. Clean and maintain medical equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety standards. Provide compassionate support, ensuring patients understand their care plans and follow-up instructions. Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Observe, identify, and respond to patient needs for nursing, medication and equipment assisted care and to recognize deviations from normal. Performs support duties for diagnostic procedures which may include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and passing instruments and monitoring the patient's condition. Charts according to VA guidelines and policies. Competently, accurately and timely, performs medication administration including injectable, oral and skin testing procedures following organizational policies and procedures, including utilizing the 6 R's of medication administration. Adheres to all policies/procedures related to Standard Precautions, Infection Control, and Hazardous Waste Management. Consistently adheres to all safety and health standards, regulations and work practices to include maintaining a safe hazard free environment ensuring patient and employee safety as evidenced by of routine environmental care rounds. You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job.
