Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Cedar Park Med is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a Correctional Center setting. This role supports safe, consistent patient care while helping maintain a secure environment for both patients and staff.

Full-time, open contract opportunity with temp-to-perm potential, a solid way to get your foot in the door and build corrections experience.

Shift/Schedule:

• 1st and 2nd shifts available. 6am-4:30pm, 12p-10:30pm.
• Every other weekend required.

Role Summary

As a Corrections LPN, you’ll provide direct nursing care within a secure environment and remain accountable for delivering competent, safety-focused care at all times. You’ll work within your LPN scope and follow site protocols to support day-to-day clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs
• Perform dressing changes and basic wound care
• Remove sutures per protocol
• Complete initial and ongoing triage assessments
• Support medication administration and other clinical duties within LPN scope
• Maintain professional communication and documentation per site standards
• Help promote a safe, respectful environment through calm, consistent patient interactions

Requirements

• Active LPN license
• AHA BLS (current)
• Correctional facility experience preferred
