A growing, regional law firm is seeking a full-time Legal Secretary to support 3-4 attorneys in Litigation, Construction, and Business Law. This is a newly created role as part of the firm’s growth and restructuring efforts. The position is based in the Los Angeles office and offers a hybrid schedule (2-days onsite and 3-days remote) following a 90-day onsite training period.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and litigation support to assigned attorneys.
  • Draft, proofread, and file legal documents with courts and administrative bodies.
  • Manage calendars, travel arrangements, billing, and expense reimbursements.
  • Maintain electronic case files and coordinate with internal departments.
  • Assist with meetings, hearings, trials, and other proceedings.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of legal secretary experience, preferably supporting senior attorneys.
  • Experience in Construction Defense, Litigation, or Business Law is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal software (NetDocuments, Best Authority, CompuLaw/ProLaw; Aderant preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Proven track record of stability and professionalism.


The compensation range for this position is $85,000–$115,000 (based on a 37.5-hour workweek). The firm also offers medical, dental and vision health insurance, 401(k) with partial match, annual discretionary bonuses, and 80 hours of sick and vacation time annually.
