Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Business Analyst to support strategic, financial, and operational initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of finance, technology, risk management, and process optimization, with a strong focus on enabling data‑driven decision‑making, automation, and governance.
The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting and analytical foundation and experience driving process improvement and technology enablement. This individual will partner closely with Legal, Finance, Risk, Procurement, and Technology teams to improve transparency, controls, efficiency, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Analytical Enablement
Analyze and interpret financial data related to legal spend, budgets, accruals, vendor performance, and cost drivers
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and internal controls
Develop financial and operational models to support business cases, vendor decisions, and strategic initiatives
Translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights for senior leadership
Process Improvement & Technology Enablement
Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize processes through automation, system enhancements, and workflow redesign
Lead requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation support for technology‑enabled process improvements
Partner with business and technology teams to optimize matter management, eBilling, vendor management, and reporting platforms
Drive continuous improvement using data, metrics, and root‑cause analysis
Vendor Risk Management, Compliance & Governance
Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure adherence to governance frameworks, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations
Monitor and analyze vendor performance, risk indicators, and compliance metrics
Assist in developing and maintaining controls, documentation, and reporting to support audits and regulatory reviews
Business Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership
Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into actionable analytical and operational solutions
Support strategic initiatives by providing data‑driven insights, scenario analysis, and implementation support
Contribute to the development of operating models, governance frameworks, and decision‑support tools
Act as a trusted advisor, balancing strategic thinking with executional rigor
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
2-3 Years of experience in Operations, Finance, Risk, Procurement, or Vendor Management
Strong accounting and financial analysis skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets
Demonstrated experience with process improvement and technology enablement
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical and financial concepts for non‑technical audiences
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $101,250 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
