Legal/HR Assistant
Reports to: The Legal Assistant reports to the Vice president and General Counsel.
Supervises: None
Description of Duties:
Assists the VP/General Counsel with researching and gathering data and preparing reports related to assignments for the President and senior management. This includes maintaining appropriate records, performing confidential, administrative functions and preparing correspondence and other legal and HR documents.
Manages VP/General Counsel schedule, contact list, travel arrangements; coordinates meetings/events and activities; takes notes during meetings
Prepares correspondence on behalf of VP/General Counsel; edits, coordinates and types extremely important, complex and/or confidential material.
Paralegal duties such as drafting simple documents and letters, proofreading and running compare writes, redlines, track changes. Filing, scanning, and recordkeeping.
Establishes, organizes and maintains confidential files and keeps legal and HR staff informed of pending matters and appointments.
Serves as liaison to legal and HR staff; conveys information and instructions from the VP/General Counsel.
Create audio-visual presentations, organizational charts, and other special projects as necessary.
Monitors multiple assignments assigned to legal and HR staff by the VP/General Counsel.
Exercises judgment on prioritizing messages, meetings and incoming requests.
Ensures the smooth functioning of office systems and provides general office support.
Assists in carrying out various human resources programs, policies and procedures.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
5 years satisfactory, full-time secretarial or administrative experience, at least two years of which must have been in a legal administrative or paralegal capacity.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Salary: $82K - $90K
